BBC News: Work starts on Woolworths' rescue

This article is notable for a proper grown-up businessperson completely failing to understand the phrase "Eye of the Storm".
Woolworths is not the only retailer suffering in the current climate. Analysts think more companies could face collapse. "The eye of the storm has moved on from the banks to the retailers," said Keith Bowman, an analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown Stockbrokers.
Apparently it's now the worst place to be.

It'd probably go through to their IT department, who would then laugh and then delete it, not wanting to be sacked.

Perhaps he meant Eye of the Tiger?

Metaphors may be being misused in the credit crunch, but at least the situation is giving something back to our civilisation's frames of reference.

Last night I saw a sports report that claimed a football manager had a face like a sub-prime lender and continued the theme by likening a late goal to "a rescue package".
