Revelation

The important thing when bughunting is to strip out all your assumptions and just look directly at the facts at hand. Finding one event immediately before another does not imply a causal link, even if it happens several times; likewise the apparent absence of an error doesn't mean it won't ever happen, just that you haven't recreated the exact conditions necessary yet. Similarly, if you isolate a cause of the bug and remove it, you can't be certain that there aren't other factors somewhere else that will do the same thing.

I think I may have discovered where my paranoia comes from when roleplaying.

It's kind of funny, Andyman...the very phenomenon you're discussing also applies to the action research I am doing.
