Ooh.

Have just watched the new BBC fantasy drama, "Being Human", which despite the advertising did not turn out to be a sitcom - though it is witty, in the same way The Empty Child was witty, or Blink, while at the same time being thoroughly grown-up. It takes itself seriously - but not in a po-faced way, it's more that it treats the subject matter with respect and maturity. It is Buffy for the British adult; it's what Hex should have been.

UK residents can watch the first 60-minute episode here, thanks to the unique way the BBC is funded.

Double plus good. I hope that it gets a series or two and that they are as good as the pilot promises to be.

promises to be is not what I meant. I meant "as good as the pilot was it had promise" or some such.

Must sleep.

Sadly, the pretty Werewolf is gay in real life.

No biscuit for you.

Ah, was going to post about this on Tuesday, but forgot about it until I saw it again after Torchwood.

Rather enjoyed it, and if it doesn't get a series (and Phoo Action does), there's no justice.

I don't think it was ever a strip, but it certainly does look like it's come straight out of Deadline.

On the one hand, I'm glads it's got a series, TV needs a 'WTF' factor, but it was utterly awful (though I couldn't look away). I suspect Jame Hewlett being a popular meeja-hoor helped it get comminsoned though.

Ah, I shall have to watch that sometime soon. It would make for a quirky World of Darkness campaign too :D
