Dinah Lance, the Black Canary, has been around for a while - in fact according to Wikipedia she's sixty years old this month. During that time she's grown into a major player in the DC Universe, serving on several different incarnations of their Justice Leagues and Societies, not to mention a decade-long stint on Birds of Prey, which for the longest time was basically a two-girl show, with Dinah playing field agent for Barbara Gordon (the ex-Batgirl). The series was popular enough to spawn a short-lived TV series. It's not unthinkable that people may be aware of her existence.

Why, then, do issues of her current miniseries bear the slogan 'From the pages of Green Arrow!'?

Never mind the tagline, why in the name of boxing-gloved artillery is she marrying the man who, five minutes previously, she thought had killed her daughter?

Even my sister, whose life choices generally revolve around abusive men, would have gone "ah...no, you're dumped."

I hate it when editors lean on the writers.

My guesses are:

1. The Marrying Green Arrow storyline came up in Green Arrow, not BoP
2. The Series Ain't being written by Gail Simone, up until alst issue the writer of BoP. Not sure if it's being written by the GA author, but hey ho.
3. Green Arrow has finished, gone, no more. BoP is still continuing.

But yeah, it Irked me too. BoP has very much been as much her book as Barbara's, and heck she's now chairman of the JLA for feck's sakes and yet her own mini is overshadowed by Green arrow... Blech.
