D'oh

Last Friday I placed an order with eBuyer (the Wal*Mart of online computer retailers) for a monitor, a 1GB SD card and a flash drive.

I chose the super-saver free delivery service (five working days), so as to cleverly force myself to shift my bulky CRT monitor from Stretford to Reddish before discarding it in favour of the shiny new flatscreen. It arrived on Tuesday, along with the SD card, and it worked and everything, so I was pleased. (The control system was initially set to German, but this was quickly resolved.)

The last part of this order, the flash drive, has just arrived, within the 5-day limit. It's nice and sturdy and has a swivel cap that won't fall off and get lost. There's only one problem: Somehow, flipping through eBuyer's pages and pages of 1GB flash drives for under a tenner, I managed to order myself a 256MB drive.

Megabytes!

It is the model and size on the order, it is what got emailed to me at the moment I placed it, I'm just an idiot. If only I'd noticed before I opened the box. D'oh!

PS does anyone want a bulky CRT monitor, it's about 19" and I inherited it from [livejournal.com profile] pkgem (who may have inherited it from [livejournal.com profile] zheers). It has racing stripes and flame decals.
