It's not really bad. Some of the characterisation is nice ... and Thurman almost manages to sell the superhero as a legitimate flawed character, rather than the ALL CHICKS ARE CRAZY HUH WOW premise. (Not quite, though.)
It remains at its core an American romantic comedy, which means there are no funny lines in it, just sort of uncomfortable situations. And some sex jokes. The plot is by-the-numbers and at times does not even make consistent internal sense. Everybody pairs up at the end. The only non-caucasian person is a zany ethnic stereotype.
