(no subject)

My constant Radio 1 consumption has apparently become too much for Raj, and he has taken the opportunity of his recent battery change (which lost my presets) to take a stand. He is currently refusing to stop scanning for radio stations at the top end of the FM dial (about 95 and above). I can tune him in manually, but the buttons take a serious amount of pushing and I go through a lot of different Radio 1 areas commuting to work, so a lot of the time I just let him have his way. His station of choice appears to be Radio 2, which I suppose is tolerable, or would be if the presenters weren't so damn smug all the time. At least they play some decent tunes.

In other news, today in Morrison's (shopping for lunch - a sandwich and some crisps) I managed to spend upwards of fifty pounds (about US$75). I couldn't help it, there was a sale. Alright, most of it was spent on non-sale DVDs, but most of them were triple packs and very cheap anyway. And most of those were ones I have been meaning to buy/watch but have put off due to expense. So I now own Austin Powers I (meant to buy), Dude! Where's My Car? (meant to see), Kung Pow: Enter The Fist (have been recommended), Fifth Element (REALLY meant to buy), The Abyss (meant to see) and Aliens (enjoy and don't mind buying to get the other two movies). Oh, also bought Shanghai Knights (because Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan) and I-Spy (because it was on sale, and because Owen Wilson). There were also a couple of low-spec PC games and some tapes for the car (ha ha, that'll teach him), but they were seriously reduced and cost less than six pounds all together.

So. My place for DVDs some time this weekend?

Lets see, Saturday day shopping, Sams do in the evening and Walk on Sunday I don't think I can fit anything else in this weekend.

That excuse was mearly and excuse to point out Radio 4 is on 93.7 FM ;-)

I Spy isn't as funny as you'd hope. Owen Wilson is good and Eddie Murphy is good but the characters don't really work that well together.

Can I borrow Shanghai Knights? I loved Shanghai Noon and also think Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan are brilliant. Alternatively, I have to visit your house sometime for a movie-fest because you have other movies I want to see (The Powerpuff Girls & The Specials).

Other than an excursion to Manchester for Sam's bday bash, I'm booked up with OU study. How about in 2 weeks time - Sunday 25th? The afternoon as I may be in Oldham in the morning.

You mean to say that you don't plan your life weeks in advance? Unorganised man.

OK: I'll pencil it in. I can always replace any potential fun thing with more studying at a moment's notice - Go me!

Useless Fact

My Cousin Lindsey was a bit part in the Fifth Element. She was a hula girl.
