Where's Andy?
Aug. 18th, 2006 12:19 amHave not been updating much this week, what with one thing and another.
One thing: work has clamped down on internet use; lead developer was asked to inform the staff that there is now monitoring software observing our internet usage[1]. Apparently this is due not to me but rather to a recently-departed employee (who left for his own reasons). My egocentric inferiority complex - "everything is about me because I'm not good enough" - suggests this is an elaborate ruse, and they are really angry at me but don't want to come right out and say it.
I never claimed to be sane.
Another:
vervain_ has not returned home since he arrived at the weekend. Therefore my evenings have been even more occupied than normal, so I have been forgetting to update then also. I sneak this post in now while he is in the bath. He will almost definitely be gone tomorrow, as he has to get upgraded by the Bishop in at the weekend.
So, I find I have almost nothing to say beyond "why I have not been posting". I suppose concordant with the drop in internet activity is a lower quantity of random links to post. Bullet points:
That is all
[1] The mail was carefully worded to absolve lead developer of all involvement, and also - reading between the lines - suggest that such software may in fact be fictional. No doubt there are still firewall logs for those who know, though I don't know how often or how thoroughly they will be checked. Nonetheless, I am playing ball.

- Happy birthday
stsquad! Sorry I missed your meal (it was too expensive, and also I forgot to reply to your email) but I have bought you a present. I'll give it to you next time I see you. - Sal broke my computer chair. He's been playing games while I was at work, and the back snapped off.
- Love life continues satisfactory.
