kingandyAm back from NWO. Many people are still there, regailing one another with tales of the game from over the last n years. I, however, have work tomorrow. This makes me sad.
Is late, so brief notes.
I think I only really realised how I had been playing Hammad on the way home in the car as I reflected on a moment in tribunal when somebody used an argument I had mooted the night before. The satisfied nod, the mental adding of a point. That one's mine. Hammad does not do, nor does he tell others to do; he leads them through a tangled discussion, encourages them to consider the problem from all angles and shapes their opinions in this way. By the time of the actual tribunal he has already done his work and can sit back and keep score. On reflection this sits very well with the character described in the brief, so I am satisfied that I've done a good job. I can think of a number of times when I listened to a speech and saw my grubby little fingerprints all over it, and I'm not sure if that's because everyone else's briefs noted how respected I was and that I should be listened to or if I'm actually that good, but either way it was very pleasing. I may have been smug.
High point of the weekend was figuring out why Cruithne, la Grande Dame d'Arigneee, had come to the meeting, and making steps to satisfy her needs. Contrasted with a meeting, literally minutes later, wherein we discovered exactly why that might be a shockingly bad idea. Ah well - as ever, the final decision was left in the hands of others, and Hammad only nudged and advised.
Ran into the traditional IC/OOC problem when I was asked to investigate a situation that, OOC, I figured out after three moments but, IC, would not have had a clue on.
That's all I can be bothered to say right now, because it's late. In summary, a good time was had by all; a fine last hurrah for the game. Bye bye now!
