Weekend In Review

A good weekend.
Friday and Saturday were occupied mostly with Maelstrom, which was fun, as far as it went. The Kamakuran game is an odd fish at the moment.
Sunday was the Date, which is of course the first thing most people are asking about at the moment.
We met up in the Piccadilly (ex Tavern) and spoke at length, before wandering off to find food. My first thought was a Thai place but this was closed, so we went to the Mongolian Barbecue instead. My first time - it was good, though initially confusing with the plates of raw meat and such (you assemble your own dish then take it to the man, who barbecues it while you wait). Then we elected to follow the time-honoured tradition of "Dinner And A Movie" by proceeding from dinner to a movie. The movie chosen was Scary movie 4. It was not completely awful. Then home, to watch some TV, the details of which are lost to me, and the Star Wars Clone Wars Season 2.
(I did not make it home in time to watch Doctor Who, but I have procured a very good quality version from teh intarewebnets, and saw that it was good.)
After that we went to bed. We did not get up until 3pm. I will say no more about that, except to say that you are probably wrong. So there.
In summary, relationship has been upgraded from Internet to Long Distance, and I am quite happy.
Oh, and yes, he is most definitely the same young gentleman as in the picture. I checked. Quite thoroughly.
In other news:
ed_fortune found this interesting and informative guide to the world of re-enactment.
