So, I'm applying for a new passport, and I don't need to get the photo countersigned if it looks anything like the old one.





Is it just me, or are passport photo booths becoming enormously shit?

EDIT: On the plus side, I am reassured that my hairline has not receded one jot since I was sixteen.

UPDATE: I have had a new photo taken in a much better photo booth, it not only looks like the other guy but also looks like me and not a hideous mongoloid child. Will post tonight or something.

Looks passable to me.

If you go to a big enough pot office, they may have the 'check and send' service, where they make sure all your documentation is OK before you post it, and stamp/sign forms to prove it - I think this also means you also don't have to send your birth certificate/driving licence/everything else off as well.

Well, since I'm doing a renewal rather than a new one, apparently I only have to send the old passport (and new photos) in with the form. I'll look into Check & Send though.

Check and Send makes it a lot easier. I've used it for passport and driving license and it hardly breaks the bank considering the reduction of chances for them to f*ck up.
