I'll be there for you

I've done this before, but my Friends list has changed since then.
Some of those work really well, and others are just funny.
So last night was D&D, and it was fun. We mostly interacted all night. Woodrun is getting fed up with the whole urban thing, and wishes all these different political factions would stop being stupid. He's focussing on rescuing the hostages, not because they are the rightful rulers of the city, but because they're being held against their will, which is wrong. All good fun. :)
Suddenly realised partway through last night's sesh that Woodrun's happy to lie or go back on his word in a good cause. I was trying to think of a noncommital or cleverly specific way to phrase a promise when I realised that was Andy thinking and not Woodrun. See, the alignment system is a useful tool for reminding yourself what your character's about!
D&D may be moving to Tuesdays because of
pkgem's adult education commitments. This will mean ... well, the same amount of driving for me, but a lot more spread out. I'll be crossing the Pennines four days a week, but never twice in the same day.
Oh, last night we all exchanged presents too. And we were all naughty and opened one each (the more conscientious of us wrapped them back up again).
ghostbritain bought me Masters Of The Universe, the live action film with Dolph Lungbarrow, which was funny, and not porn as we had been expecting. ("Go on, open it in front of your Mum, I dare you," he encouraged.) I shall probably open the other presents next weekend when me,
bacony and
batelf have our pre-Christmas Christmas -
- Shit fuck, that reminds me, I'm going to see Return of the King on Saturday at 8pm, and our work Christmas do is on Friday night, so I can't go shopping on Friday and have dinner on Saturday as
bacony proposed yesterday. I can still do Saturday as Chrimbo meal if we do it earlier on, but I think it would be better all around if we shop on Saturday and do the meal Sunday night (unless somebody's busy on Sunday night). Will try to remember to ring
bacony tonight but will probably forget, curses, curses.
My LiveJournal Sitcom |

kingandy And Me (CBS, 3:00): kingandy (Angela Bassett) convinces anne_l_davies (Peter O'Toole) to learn to speak Tlingit. Later that day, naisugai (Drew Barrymore) nixes jfs (Alec Guinness)'s picnic plans. Afterwards, nattydreadi (Jeremy Irons) burns batelf (Jonathan Rhys Meyers)'s car. That weekend, mrssshhh (Jacqueline Bisset) gets mad at ed_fortune (Will Ferrell) and decides to join the Peace Corps. Upstairs, ubernils (Ingrid Bergman) can't find jewelstar93 (Vivica Fox)'s mailbox and pretends it was never missing. Everyone learns a valuable lesson. |
