Yes, I saw this. Funky video. I can imagine the stink that the american players are going to make though. New character costume options unavailable to the US and EU versions of the game? wah wah wah wah wah.
I sort of agree, though. Despite the changes being largely cosmetic, it looks like it might be a game with a very different atmosphere. Obviously the costumed superhero idiom doesn't directly translate, culturally, to Vietnam or Korea ... but there's plenty of people in the West who'd love to play a Manga-inspired hero game.
Actually, I've resubscribed to CoH and CoV, and as it stands there are a *lot* more costume options than there used to be, among them many anime styles choices already. I believe one of the more recent 'issues' (their name for major content updates) had anime style hero costumes as a major 'selling' point.
Yeah, I had a play on a friend's account over Christmas and spotted the 'schoolgirl' options (disturbing). It did make me consider resubscribing, until I remembered that while the character crearor is the most fun part of the game, it's also the least significant. Anyway, MMORGs really aren't my thing.
