'Gay cowboy film scoops Globes'

- BBC News, 2006/01/17 (text taken from BBC front page link. In the text of the article the movie is summarised as "Gay cowboy drama", which I suppose is better than "Mostly gay".)

I still haven't seen the film in question. Hmm, I think I'm free this weekend...

ETA: I just feel I should make a point of mentioning that I successfully avoided making any jokes about doing anything to globes. Scooping or otherwise.

On BBC breakfast this morning, it was described in the quick golden globes intro bit as a "gay cowboy film", but a few minutes later in more detail as both "a cowboy film without cows" and "a classic love story" - the appearance of suppressed desire and various other elements were also discussed. So just a shame about the decision to use "gay cowboy" as the description in the intro piece.

LMK if you're going to see it - I'd like to see it too and I'd like people to go along with coz I can't imagine Karl being very interested

Even if it is a wonderful love story, great film, etc, even if it becomes my favourite film ever, I intend to refer to it as 'that gay cowboy movie' forever. I'll be seeing it soon.
