Not to be anal, but technically "don't" is a contractive and therefore it is seven little words.
Remember the film "You've got mail"? The total lack of grammer annoyed me there too, when Meg Ryan says "It's those three magic words - You've got mail" My dad is a massive Meg Ryan fan and got irritated with me getting picky over that when "emotional adult things" were happening.
There's a world of debate about semantics, pattern matching and what constitutes an actual word boundary but I'll just say that if it's good enough for Dr Tennant it's good enough for me.
You could really piss him off by debating whether you could genuinely call the issues in 'You've Got Mail' emotional. Perhaps they are merely 'sentimental.' I think grammar is the least of your worries in bad chick-flicks.
