Hmmm.

Just had an email from Computer People (who I have been in contact with re jobs) saying "Under new DTI regulations, we are now required to provide proof of identification when we propose a candidate to a client for consideration against a job vacancy."  Asking for a scan of my passport.

It looks to be a valid CP address, and I have noticed IT employment agencies generally asking you to swear that you're legal to work in the country, but when I replied (saying I didn't have a passport and would a driver's license do) their answer was caught by [livejournal.com profile] stsquad's spamfilter saying:

 pts rule name              description
---- ---------------------- --------------------------------------------------
 0.1 FORGED_RCVD_HELO       Received: contains a forged HELO
1.5 RCVD_NUMERIC_HELO      Received: contains an IP address used for HELO
1.5 URIBL_JP_SURBL         Contains an URL listed in the JP SURBL blocklist
                            [URIs: computerpeople.com]
0.5 URIBL_WS_SURBL         Contains an URL listed in the WS SURBL blocklist
                            [URIs: computerpeople.com]
2.0 URIBL_OB_SURBL         Contains an URL listed in the OB SURBL blocklist
                            [URIs: computerpeople.com]

I don't know, it's just vaguely suspicious, and I'm not completely convinced.  Has anyone else had anything like this?

UPDATE: Computer People rang to say I have an interview on Friday. Took the opportunity to ask about the ID mail - yes it is from them.

Wait, what? I have an interview! Hooray!
