I'm probably going to plump for something with a writable screen. Yes, this is largely so I can see whether it's any good for cartooning. The fact that fine comics such as PA and Shortpacked are done entirely on such a tablet is very encouraging.
Besides, appealing though a 17"er is, there are no macs in the office and anyway I'm developing for a Windows environment...
