Maelstrom was good.  Almost came close to the potential of death - our camp got moshed by a gang of pirates, and luckily they ordered their dryad to execute me.  And since I was a dryad too, and she was more or less a friend of mine, she was understandably reluctant to do so, so instead hovered uneasily above me until I came around.  If they'd tried to execute me themselves I probably would have been alright, since the neighbouring camps were by this point charging in and pulling the invaders away from the fallen, but you know, it would have been nominally closer.

I am still enjoying Wandering Blossom, but the makeup is very much a chore and I do feel like I'm missing a lot of the depth to the Maelstrom campaign - Blossom tends to hang around the camp a lot and it can be a bit quiet at times.  Plus, I already have several ideas for backup characters.  I'll probably follow the path of least resistance and keep trundling on for now, but I won't be enormously distressed if and when he snuffs it.

Other news:

1. Interview arranged on Thursday with RWE Nukem (which is a great name for a nuclear engineering company) for a helpdesk job.  It is not my dream job but it pays well and I like money.
2. Ticket has been booked for Star Wars, also Thursday, 8:30pm at the Bolton UGC.  There was some consternation using the automated line for "UGC Unlimited" card holders, as there are 12 showings that day (meaning the "Press X now" menu wrapped around), but everything seemed to turn out okay.
