Bask in the glory of my new icon!  Featuring the keen photographic eye of [livejournal.com profile] kneeshooter, I am highly pleased.  Being my most recent photo it is now default icon.  So nyah.

This weekend I are been mostly helping [livejournal.com profile] stsquad install a new shower enclosure.  I say "helping", I mean mostly passing him tools and sitting in the car while we drove to several different B&Qs.  This was broken up by a trip to the pub on Friday to celebrate [livejournal.com profile] renniek's existence[1], and a trip to Bolton yesterday evening for Doctor Who (second episode: Better than the first, the first was naturally lumbered with setting up events for both Rose and the viewer, while the second was free to roam as and when.  Writing remains high caliber and it's clear that the relationship between Doctor and Companion is still developing - the episode begins with the final moment of episode one, and it couldn't really fit anywhere else in the series in terms of dialogue.  This is not "not the first episode" - it's "episode two".  If that makes sense.) and more pubbage.  This latter is notable for my finally meeting the Lovely Michelle ([livejournal.com profile] gowhonker's other half of three months, and yes it is shocking that people still haven't met her after a quarter of a year isn't it, even if she did live in Newcastle until a fortnight ago.  She still has not met [livejournal.com profile] arwel, can you imagine?).  She is not at all what I expected, I think I was expecting Inara but it turns out she's Kaylee.  Which is nice.

[1] If anyone's interested, I compiled a CD for Katie's birthday instead of buying a present because I am poor and destitute.  Track listing as follows:
  1. Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet
  2. Soulwax - Conversation Intercom
  3. Young Heart Attack - Starlite
  4. Transplants - DJ DJ
  5. Alice Cooper - Poison
  6. The Wannadies - Yeah
  7. KT Tunstall - Black Horse and Cherry Tree
  8. Queens of the Stone Age - No One Knows
  9. The Urge - It's My Turn To Fly
  10. Shawn Mullins - Lullabye
  11. Party Ben - Boulevard of Broken Songs
  12. Rob Dougan - Speed Me Towards Death
  13. A - Took It Away
  14. Jasan Radford - Kick It Up
  15. Ben Folds Five - Kate
  16. They Might Be Giants - We Want A Rock
  17. The Wannadies - ...Have Another One
  18. Presidents of the United States of America - Candy Cigarette

Actually I have no idea who Track 14 is by, it's an uncredited bonus track on the Digimon movie soundtrack. But Jasan Radford and Jason Gochin seem to do most of the music for the series, so I flipped a coin.

Does that make Nook Simon then? He, he. I bet he'd rather be Mal.
