Two more strips for the "Special School" thing. How apparent is it that they were drawn months after the first few? I forgot that Lou (who now has a name!) was wearing gloves, but I guess she could be taking them off in the first panel of #4.

Also, are they funny? I don't know, I mean I guess they're not laugh out loud funny, but I think maybe there's a comedic element there. It's kind of a tough niche that I'm going for.

She's just found out her "boyfriend" has weird plates and she'd rather argue about how many dates they've had. I liked that.

It's an important guage as to how honest one should be in one's relationship. She's just trying to deal with it in a way she can understand...

I was going to have him just be invulnerable, but then I had this idea for this reactive armour, and an image of him covered in the things after (or during) a big battle of some kind. Also it adds a complication to the whole secret identity thing, which is always good.

I'm going to say no. It's pretty much for the heavy duty stuff. Silly.

It's going to be purple if it ever gets coloured, so maybe for small wounds it just looks like he bruises easily.

I liked them. They are amusing and the dialogue seems genuine, not scripted. However, I cannot make out the "armour-plating" very well - it looks a bit likes bumps breaking through his hair - that may just be me though...

No, that's basically what they are - though they're larger than would be normal, and very firm. If the scale is confusing on that panel, you can make them out on the first two frames of the second strip - the cluster of bumps is about four inches from top to bottom. (If you click right through there is a slightly larger version of the strip, but not by much.) The cartoony style may make it seem that lumps of this size are normal, but the dialogue should indicate otherwise...
