Evening Revue
Attended (for the second time ever) the Manchester Pagga Pub Meet. (Called the Moot by some, not me.) There were just the four of us - myself,
ash1977law,
bacony and
psion_x - and two of those only stayed for the drinks, so myself and
bacony went on to a Japanese meal at Wagamama. Katy paid, since I am a starving artist (and apparently I have bought her dinner in the past - I have no recollection of this but chose not to argue) and she is lovely. We then returned to the pub for further drinkies, and all the while we discussed and discoursed and generally caught up. It was enjoyable, I will probably return next month. I also hope to see more of Ms Bacon since I don't these days, not nearly enough. Perhaps if we make a regular thing of it. I know she sees Mr
batelf on non-pubmeet Thursdays, perhaps I shall shoehorn my way that arrangement since I do not see enough of him either.
F'nar.
In other news, today was my signing on day with the Jobcentre; I was given a letter saying that next fortnight I would not sign on but would instead attend a review since I've been unemployed for three months now and what the hell am I doing about it. I am wondering what it would take to become a self-employed artist, and will give serious consideration to opening myself up to taking commissions. Apply now! Beat the rush!
And finally:
wilwheaton drinks stout.

I want tarot cards made.
4 suits, 13 each, with arcana. I will pay. Not much, but it's money.
How much will it cost?

That's a substantial job and I would have to charge accordingly. Maybe £80-100, extra for accuracy (since I would have to actually look up the traditional meanings and/or representations of the cards). Alternatively you could wait until the Carot is finished and I will have a copy done up for a smaller fee...

Heck, I'll even colour them.

I believe you have my email...

You make one phonecall and they send you some stuff and thats it.
The hard part is finding stuff to do.

I'm theorising I will be more motivated if I actually have deadlines and money upon completion...
