Wallet Envy

After an otherwise productive hour in Stretford (applying to transfer JSA claim, purchasing some small foodstuffs and birthday card for sister) I was only able to find a single wallet on sale, being in Burtons, and being of the type that does not actually hold any monies, only cards of the plastic variety. What is up with that? Are wallets no longer fashionable?
