I guess I just like a capella groups
Jan. 28th, 2007 01:01 pmSo a while back I linked people over to daVinci's Notebook, a barbershop quartet style vocal group most known for their a capella performances (though the album I bought does include musical accompaniment on certain tracks).
Recently I have been enjoying a track I found on an internet which is an a cappella version of the Gummi Bears theme. Today, with some time on my hands, I decided to look up the originators of this track, who are apparently Brown University's The Brown Derbies, a group that has been going for twenty-something years and has in that time featured over a hundred members.
Samples of their work are available on theirspace. I am very close to ordering an album.
ETA: I have ordered Recap and Hybrid because I am weak. Luckily, their american monies are almost worthless so they were very cheap!
