Woot!  Thanks to wibblefish I now have enough cable to plug directly into the router - no more cheap and crappy wireless card for me, no sir!  So I'll have a stable connection for all that MMORPG and webcam chat stuff that I ... never do.

Well, at least now I can rely on picking my emails up without having to go via the internet!

On an entirely unrelated note I have been prompted to create my own Amazon wishlist.  Note that I do not demand the entire list, and nor should people be afraid to stray from the list^[1], but it remains a convenient list of things in which I am interested and of which I do not yet own.

[1] if they were, for example, to see something in a real and physical shop that they feel I would enjoy more, such as perhaps something from a reenactment fair or a small rubber octopus, but not a plastic light-up wand as I already have far too many of those.  Actually, on second thoughts, forget the octopus too.
