Whoo, it has been quite a week. All of a sudden I am all employed and stuff ...
So, on Monday I drove up to Kendal, where I spent my first three days with Meantime. Days were spent in the office, and evenings with two of my colleagues who were stationed, like myself, in a
local hostelry. The entire company is made of lovely people with a sense of humour very similar to my own; I felt immediately at home. I am even enthused by the work. We shall have to see if this lasts - the environment suggests it will, since my opinions are actively sought and listened to and great strides are taken to make everyone comfortable. And everyone is so great. It is a company about which it is easy to be enthusiastic. They do right by me, and I want to do right by them in return.
The project I'm working on is somewhat
interesting, but is still in the tentative negotiation stage so I am enjoying the freedom of being able to say "this is not possible". In fact I am rather enjoying investigating whether things are possible or not.
Signpost that made me wish I had a camera (and was not driving):
"You are now entering Nook - please drive carefully"ps. Happy birthday to everyone whose birthday it has been, sorry.
