It could be the addition of an iris-like background, the change in colour scheme, the way the lens flare now interacts with the lettering, it could even be the cunning but subtle alteration of the pointless dot between the words, but something about the logo for the Who companion series Doctor Who Confidential makes it a whole lot better than the actual series logo.  At least, it does in my book.

Oh, and I note on Outpost Gallifrey that we're now less than a month away from the new series.  Further reading indicates that this has not yet officially been announced, which seems to be cutting it rather close to the wire.  Still, a date for the diary.
