Social Calendular

I have vague recollections of a huge number of social arrangements being made for January; mostly I think it was several shades of Geek (Star Wars, Iron Kingdoms, Mad Game), and some sort of Sam Harber Birthday Extravaganza (wasn't the Sunderland Mastiff planning a return visit or something?).  However, actual details are absent from my mind.  Can anyone remind me of any firm arrangements that were made?

Checking my inbox I find that Iron Kingdoms was proposed for 22 Jan.  I have no record of any confirmation from Parker or Harber regarding this.

UNRELATED NEWS: Going through my old inbox I found this link my Mum sent me. She also noted they sold Lord Of The Rings swords. I maintain she is the coolest.

Cars And That

After checking my bank account, I decided it was time to change car insurers; Churchill's quote was considerably lower than what I was paying Tesco.  Upon telephone conversation with Tesco the margin narrowed considerably, as they confirmed that yes, those claims made against me go in the box marked "Claims Made In The Last Three Years" on the online order form, but it was still a big enough change to be worth it.

(I really hate that about car insurance.  They reward you for not claiming, and punish you for claiming.)

I've probably made a very foolish decision, considering the deposit they demand to pay monthly, but the monthly payments will still be lower and I'll be paying lower over all and Tesco are stupid and I hate them.

Mm.  New colour scheme and title image for that website redesign thingy.

I am thinking of doing most things CSS-wise, having only the main title as an image.  Oh, and the main text box will extend down when there is content, while the side bar will not, meaning there'll be a column of that blue stuff down the left.  Am trying to avoid tables for layout, though they may be the best solution for the image thumbnail index...

Incidentally, anyone interested in the typeface might be interested to know it's BADABOOM courtesy Blambot.
