During the course of the evening I was also given magical presents of joy; pkgem wittily gave me a calendar featuring The Busteds^[1], as well as a robot that WALKS UP WALLS^[2], and gowhonker gifted me with a wonderful miniature Mega Drive (that's Genesis for you yanksmy American friends) that actually plays six different games on your television!^[3]  I love them both, though obviously not equally because Gem is a girl and has cooties and such.  Ick, ptoo.

Sam gave me nothing and I hate him.  Not really of course! The power of suggestion.

In the morning I found I was locked in, just as Nook got in the shower.  After some deliberation I decided to wait until he was out and nominally covered to ask for a key.  It was probably for the best.
