Frontin'

Like Jazz? Like innovative covers of familiar songs by unusual people? Like Jamie Cullum's cheeky little face?
Check out his Live Lounge session to hear an excellent swing-style version of Pharell and Jay-Z's 'Frontin'. (That link might not work if the BBC are protective about their streams. I don't know.)

In other news: http://www.andysdrawings.co.uk has propogated at least as far as the UK, click the link to see if it's live in YOUR area.

[livejournal.com profile] stsquad has been kind enough to set a mail service for me, so things sent to me (andy) at that domain (without the www.) will reach me, but I'm trying to limit the number of webmail accounts that I have to check so I'm trying to get that forwarded on to my main account (ntlworld.com). Because, despite its frequent server outages, it is still the only one of my accounts that allows me both web and client mail access. Read more... )

I'm not sure, but I think the mail does a direct map to bennee.com rather than sending all andysdrawings.co.uk mail to me. Oh well...

UPDATE: Alex has kindly put the aliases file for the domain where I can see it, so I can set up as many addresses as I like, and tell them where to go. Huzzah!

Step 1: Open your MP3 player.
Step 2: Put all of your music on random.
Step 3: Write down the first ten songs it plays, no matter how embarrassing.

I'm going to copy [livejournal.com profile] jfs and add Step 4: Add commentary. Because I'm bored.

1. Good Charlotte - A New beginning
First track on the album, "The Young And The Hopeless." Nice orchestral/choral thing.

2. Doctor Who - theme from "Trial of a Timelord" (Colin Baker era)
Yes, I have a directory on my computer containing every Doctor Who theme.

3. eminem - Without Me
I don't have a lot of Eminem, but I like some of the more mainstream stuff that got into the charts.

4. Fluke - Absurd
This one's been around a few years and I mostly like it because of the pop-culture references, though it does sound pretty cool too. Probably from the Spaced soundtrack, though I think I heard it had been used on the X-Men soundtract too.

5. Greenday - Longview
International Superhits yeah! I bought this album mostly for the track "Waiting", which I had been trying to identify from a Sky One advertisement trailing "Enterprise".

6. Doctor Who - William Hartnell era theme
Hmm. Media Player clearly is a fan.

7. Witch Hunter Robin - Shell
Ah, some gentle J-Pop that I picked up because it was provided as a theme tune for one of the characters in a Digimon RPG that I've been playing. Bless.

8. Linkin Park - Rnw@y?
I don't honestly know what track this is, it's listed as "Track 14". I copied this directory from a friend's computer and haven't had time to listen to it all. It's apparently from the Reanimation album, which would mean it's "Rnw@y", a remix by Backyard Bangers/Phoenix Orion, according to Amazon.

9. Trey Parker et al - The Trapper Song
From the movie, "Cannibal: The Musical".

10. Ming Tea - Incense and Peppermints
From the movie, "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery". A good movie, somewhat spoiled for me by a couple of friends who insisted on watching it every other week when it came out. Still enjoyable though, and the best of the three.

END OF LINE.

Heh. "Tavern Sauce." I'm going to have to start going into social situations with the assumption that everybody's heard that particular story.

Just watched Jake 2.2 (ha ha, I am clever, that is the second episode of Jake 2.0). Still vaguely enjoyable, though there appear to be one or two incongruities between this and last week's episodes.

And now I away, for Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Classic 80's action horror goodness. I will enjoy it.
