Better to light a single candle
Dec. 29th, 2003 02:31 amScream of the Shalka is now fully online. Jolly good wheeze! It does rather fall into one or two tried-and-tested Cornell patterns, but it's still fresh and exciting, and the Doctor has more character development and general engagement than Paul McGann ever did. (More a comment on script than actor - McGann was a fantastic doctor working with terrible material, I always say.) All the better for being official BBC fodder, of course, and what back-story Cornell lays out opens up many more possibilities than it closes off.
There is a page with the glorious music available, but only (as is by now infuriatingly traditional for the BBC) to stream and not to download. If anyone knows how to get their hands on a saveable file from those links, I would be most grateful, and open to recompense. Likely by way of artwork.
