WEEKEND UPDATE: EVERYTHING WAS FINE.
Dec. 14th, 2003 11:58 pmAlmost everything went to plan, with the exception of not making it to
icklejo's party. We stayed at my friend's house in Coventry until about 1pm which meant I didn't get back to Manchester until 5, by which point the party had eaten, drinken and been merry and then dispersen.
( Friday night minutiae... )
bacony returned from the Maelstrom videoshoot this evening at 11pm. She was thoroughly exhausted from a weekend of constant toil and little sleep. I was expecting an afternoon of strolling back and forth in front of video cameras, a full-motion version of last week's photoshoot; instead she brought tales of professional-standard actors and film crew (Matt P apparently knows lots of people in The Biz and they were all up for a weekend larking about, or something), scripted parts, fantastic sets and ... I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say so I'll leave it at that, enough to whet the appetite but vague enough not to spoil anything, I hope. It's definitely something to look forward to. Really wish I could have been there... oh well, priorities and all that.
Have wrapped all my Manchester presents and plan to dole them out at D&D tomorrow (mm, later today technically). Now that I have a bag filled with shiny parcels it suddenly feels like Christmas.
Oh, yeah ... anyone who was at this month's SoS, tell me your amusing newsletter-suitable tales from the weekend and I will pick one to make into a Random Encounter. Oh, and somebody who knows, let me know where to send it...
