I am not advocating the use of Macs in any way, shape or form, but check this out.  It so tiny!

Reliability, however, is apparently not included.  "The modular design of Mac mini lets you upgrade your current system to the elegance, simplicity and reliability of Macintosh."  Hee hee hee.

I'm seriously considering this; not because it's a Mac, per se, but because at that sized footprint, it would free up so much of my desk space. And the uses I'm putting my home computer to at present (especially since getting a PS2) really aren't pushing the envelope of what it can do.

The box my amd64 system came in is a nice and tiny footprint as well, maybe not quite as much as the Mac but a hell of a change from the normal towers I've owned in the past.

Currently, I have two normal PCs taking up all the footspace under my desk. Admittedly, one of them could relocate to the basement and become an MP3 player, but the thought of being able to tuck the processor behind the CD rack is just so attractive :-)
