End of day roundup

kingandyDoes it seem to anyone else that there's been an extra day this week? Everyone in our office came in on Tuesday thinking it was Wednesday, and now it very much feels like Friday.
Today in work I am pleased with myself, I successfully got Coldfusion to write Excel spreadsheets. Okay, I was building on code somebody else wrote a month ago, but I got it working well, and using less code. Also in colour and forcing certain cells to be strings instead of numbers, which was a killer.
A couple of quick notes before I go. Firstly, webcam now appears to be functioning; after reinstalling the cam's drivers (which, bizarrely, appeared first as "LabTec" and then as "Logitec") a couple of times, I poked around the CD that came with it - there was a handy maintenance tool that replaced the Windows files that the cam uses (and, presumably, asumes are functioning correctly when it installs its own drivers). Anyway, it's working.
Secondly, I have made an important discover in Grim Fandango: It's a whole lot easier to play in a darkened room. The game, by its nature, is very dark and it's often hard to see important details, but if you play it in the dark it is a rich world of velvety colour. Of course this screws up your eyes but I've already got a plus eight something prescription in my contacts so what the hell.
