Car update

kingandyHaving driven home in the dark, I can report that the headlights are not in fact wholly nonfunctional - they are back to their previous semi-functional "just needs a jiggle / light touch" state.
This chunk of happy serendipity will not, of course, stop me trying to acquire a new "Stem", but it does extract a certain amount of the urgency from the whole thing.
In unrelated news, the wireless connection in my bedroom is no longer working dammit.
UPDATE FROM BEDROOM: And now it is. Hooray!
UPDATE FROM MUM'S PC: And now it isn't. It's doing that thing where it can see the network but can't connect to it. Damn, damn.
