People who open the windows when they're hot.  Without asking.

I would rarely object; if I'm cold I'll put on a jumper or coat.  It's just a shock when I get a sudden cold breeze up my back.  Being as I am directly opposite a window.

You are right to be annoyed. It is wrong - especially at this time of year. It is time to switch on the heating not open windows. The offending work-mate is a freak - and in no good way either.

They should ask, but they might need the window open - depends how high the heating is. At Miromass, the software office was often so hot that my team leader was considering running a book on who'd be the first to collapse from heat exhaustion...

Heehee In the U.S. a jumper is like a pair of overalls with a skirt. Thats a fun mental image.

Yeah I knew what that was. But unlike so many other British words (like lift for elevator) jumper really doesn't make more sense.
