kingandySorted weekend. Respect due.

pkgem's birthday, we went to a pub and thence proceeded to the club Indie-Go, formerly known as Hawthorne's. Much fun was had by all, and I spent much of the evening checking out the many hot boys. I didn't find out until afterwards that one of them was apparently checking me out too.
I did recognise that we'd made eye contact once or twice, and obviously I noticed when he shook my hand for the second time, but he didn't make any overt moves (like, I don't know, holding onto the hand, or trying to pull me onto the dance floor, or maybe saying hi or something), and he did keep making out with random passing women, so I was left more or less in the dark. Not that I would know what to do anyway. Jump down his throat? Make small talk, buy each other drinks? There should be a class or something, because I can see my life up to this point has left me woefully unprepared for any such eventuality. I guess I am just not the type to pick up random men in bars. (Or be picked up by, since I was to be sleeping atrichc and ajon's house that night and they may not have welcomed additional houseguests.)
Anyway. That was Friday.
Saturday: Woke up at Rich and Al's, played some Shrek 2, then got taken over topkgem's house by a crazy cat lady. There we watched Being John Malkovitch, Green Wing and The Invisible Man (an episode of the TV show). Which were interesting, funny and mildly engaging respectively. (Invisible Man had a buff lead, with a gratuitous shirt-off scene, and some excellent back-and-forth conversational dialogue/repartee which was both well-written and naturally executed. Shame the plot was so weak, but one can't have everything.) Thence back to Rich and Al's for their housewarming, which was fun and exciting. I slept over again, this time in the upstairs spare room instead of the lounge, because during the day they bought curtains. R&A's house, incidentally, is made of lovely, and it will be a privilege to make use of it whenever they are out or away, since they have made the mistake of giving gowhonker a set of keys.
Sunday: Went topkgem's place again. We watched many 80's cartoons and ate children's party food. It was the best party ever.
