No, really, I did like that single. It was harmless and enjoyable. However, I'm not going to go so far as to say I like the band on the basis of that one single.

I concur with Sam and Arwel.

I think that "Toploader" would probably be in my top ten choices were I given the option to erase things from History, with no hope of them returning.

That's the best I can do to apply words to my hatred of them and that song. I think it ties in with why I hate students who make everyone aware of the fact that they are Students (with an intentional capital).

You asserted it was harmless. Neil questioned the validity of this claim, and I gave evidence backing him up. Conclusive proof that Toploader cause permanent mental trauma and probably cancer too! And everybody else is wrong.

I don't think I've seen the singer or his hair, but as I say, I find the song itself quite jolly. It has harmonies and Hammond organ and tinkly bits, and an actual tune, which is more than can be said for some songs in the charts these days. It's been a while since I listened to either, but I do seem to recall preferring the Stargate (I think) remix, if I ignore the bit at the start where the man's shouting "YEAH - STARGATE - ANOTEHR SURE FIRE HIT" or whatever.

Music is largely subjective, of course, unless you're talking on a technical level, on which I'm unqualified to comment, having never taken any formal music appreciation type edumacation.

Liking their one single does not a fan make. I like the Jet single, but don't think much of the album samples on their website. I would have to listen to the whole album to be sure though...

But yes. I own the Busted album. And I bought it from a supermarket.
