Have placed an order for MP3 car stereo, from the same place [livejournal.com profile] samharber used a couple of weeks back; again, they rang asking for fax confirmation of business delivery address. This is crazy and mad, and also stupid. What manner of trickery could you be playing on them? They've already got payment, the only possibly result of giving a fraudulent business address is that they get some free stereo equipment and you don't. Anyway, faxed some letterhead over and called them to make sure they've got it. They confirmed, with such instant confidence that I suspect they may have very few customers to keep track of.

In other news, my LJ has been found by somebody at work, who is apparently an old friend of [livejournal.com profile] mrssshhh. Small world. I have no doubt he is now reading through all my deepest and darkest secrets. I may start making more use of journal lockage than previously, though probably not because I am lazy. On the plus side, I get to pump him for secrets re Mr Parker...

Not that I'm immediately intrigued, or nosy, or a compulsive collector of gossip or anything, but . . . anything interesting about [livejournal.com profile] mrssshhh at all? Hmmm?

Mmm? Name of said person?

Oh, and the business address confirmation is to protect themselves. Should you be pulling a fast one and using someone else's card, you'll usually be stumped by them only delivering to a cardholder's registered address. However, if they do deliver elsewhere, they ask for reasonable proof to cover their own backs, when the fit hits the shan.

The downside is that I went through the same process and tehy STILL sent it to my home address. I called up to conmplain and they apologised, saying they couldn't give any reason but stupidity. Seeing as they already had the money and I had the stereo by that point, there was very little left I could do.

He shaves his head because his hair looks like someone has stapled a poodle to his skull. He has not seen me with long hair, I think.

I have a vague memory of kissing his sister at the birthday party in the church hall when Nerv Gas played. Must be about nine years ago.

He has been known, on occasion, to "pillage the village". Which is not a euphemism.

He's one of the few people I actually liked in my first time around in Bradford. Also, he has a brother called Chris.

Enough crap facts?

Hello!

indeed, I do shave my head in order to wear hats and get through doors. I saw you with long hair walking somewhere at some point recently but you disappeared into a crowd so I couldn't say hi. Also I was too lazy to shout.

I don't remember you kissing my sister. Did you slip her a rufie-collada? The church hall! Praise the Lord.

Awwww you liked me. I remember you writing some words from Transpotting onto my calculator with a compass. I still have the calculator. Perhaps it'll be worth something some day. Worth more than the price of a calculator I mean.

I also remember that you were a rather odd and complicated chap. And that you smelt of Rich Tea biscuits.
