Date: 2008-02-12 04:55 pm (UTC)Journalists: If we write about it lots, people will get the message
Companies: You cant do that, its in the contract!
Marketeers: Lets put it in the terms and conditions! No a 2 point font is far too large, it will distract from the "UNLIMITED INTERNET!!!!!!" part in 80pt Moron bold-italic
Network Techies: I know, lets throttle it and make it very annoying, that will stop them.
First line support: Ug say stop!
Lawyers: I know, lets sue them so hard they squeal, that should get the message across.
Politicians: Lets make a law!, this nice chap from the BSA baught me dinner, when's the last time those internet nerds ever did THAT!
Besides, it hasnt escaped my notice that any software which is capable of monitoring some random traffic from a person, is probably capable of monitoring all random traffic from a person. I assume that the potential cost savings when the local police ask for someones internet to be monitored, probably havent escaped theirs either.
