"Er, ah," stumbled the first, the voice wavering before settling in an upper register. "Your pardon, I didn’t realize anyone was ... this floor, I was, er ..."
"Cough, gruff," the second mumbled. The voice was somewhat deeper. "Yes, I'll be getting out of your way, you look like you've, hmm, yes."
The first woman paused, scrutinizing the second. "Jack?" he asked.
"Isaac?" came the reply.
Both figures relaxed with an audible sigh. "Younger sister?" Isaac asked.
"Yarrr," Jack replied. "Older?"
"Oh, I should say so."
