Saturday night we were unexpectedly offered cut-rate tickets to enjoy Dara Ó Briain at the Lowry, due to some scheduling mix-up on Sean and Jenna's parts. It was good hilarity and nice to see a bunch of people, if fleetingly. Particularly hello to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
si_lloyd and his lady wife.
There was also a trip to Toys 'R' Us, where I purchased the Micro Universe TARDIS, which is a nice enough paperweight. Also it revealed to me the Micro Universe combat system - which it turns out, far from being an actual miniatures game, is Top Trumps with an added random element. Still, the figures look to be more or less the right scale for d20 miniatures.
Then on Sunday I installed GTA: San Andreas and had 'a quick game' for four hours. Whups.
Then we watched Masters Of The Universe starring Dolph Lungdren, which was as classic and cheesy and fun and embarassing as ever. Every time I watch it I forget the godawful pointless time-travel twist at the end. I can't hold that against it though. Bless.
I think there were some other things that happened, but that is enough writing for now.
