Unnamed
I did buy the car advertised, and I left Raj by way of part exchange. I am currently kicking myself for forgetting to retrieve Raj's road tax - and for not noticing that the new car (currently unnamed) had none.
Unfortunately I have left the registration documents at
bacony's house so I can't tax it immediately. I wouldn't have taken them there except that I had managed to lock myself out of the house and thus had no way of dropping them off ... very annoying, I haven't locked myself out of anywhere in years and then I do it three times in a week. (My keys live in my pocket, so I don't normally have to think about whether I have them or not. Last week I forgot that I'd changed my trousers for decorating, yesterday they'd fallen out of my trousers as I rummaged around my unworn trousers for my phone, and today I put them down after removing everything of any interest from Raj.)
New car is doubleplusgood. Salesman was inordinately dodgy - he appears to operate out of a unit in a self-store complex, cars lined up in the car park. But he offered a three month warranty and the MOT's good until August so what the heck. As long as it's not a
samharber MOT it should be OK.
Cons:
Pros:
Now I just need to work out how to remove the stereo (it needs some of those prongy things) and I can fit the CD player I salvaged from Raj. It's going to sound so good out of these speakers. Woot!

Cons:
- Slight underrev when idling, means I have to remember to gas a little when engaging first/reverse to avoid stall
- Indicator and wiper controls are inverted
- Tape player ejects tapes on power off
Pros:
- Car no breaky
- Remote locking and alarm (should probably tell the insurance people about the alarm)
- Much better speakers
- Air blowers have strength controls (ie, you can turn them off)
- Proper sized spare tyre
- Vroom vroom
