Carp Lan (Car Plan)

Called several garages today - they were mostly closed. Except for Kwik Fit, who despite their stated goals of "100% customer DELIGHT" do not do duvets starter motors. I was worrying about whether to stay off work tomorrow to take Raj to a garaj in Manchester, or go to work tomorrow and leave Raj at a garaj in Ilkley on Tuesday (while borrowing Mum's car to get to work). Rang Mum, who suggested that since it's the starter motor, if I can get him started I may as well drive to a garaj in Ilkley early tomorrow morning, then borrow her car to drive into work, maybe an hour late. So this is the current plan. It has the benefits that I (a) do not miss a whole day of work and (b) do not have to miss geek on Tuesday evening (as I probably would if I left Raj at the garaj Tuesday, because after driving back and forth between Skipton, Ben Rhydding and the garaj, I would not be interested in driving to Bolton).

So.

Spent much of the day playing Thief2. It is a fun game, since it relies on skill, but not of the "reflexes and murdering" variety.
