More car troubles
Aug. 14th, 2004 08:05 pmRaj's starter motor is apparenly in need of replacement (he was not starting; the battery was clearly working but there was no starter motor activity happening, so after a brief look for fuses - with
stsquad's help - I called the AA again). Cock. One wonders if it would not be worth buying a new car instead, at this point. Sadly this is not practicable, so I will be calling around Sunday-opening garages tomorrow.
Hopefully Raj will start so I can get him to the garage - apparently there is a likelihood that he will, but if not then I must get somebody to twist the key while I tap the starter motor with a hammer (to close the contacts or something). That, or push-start it.
I'm not, however, relying on his starting to get me home from anywhere, so am staying in. So if there's anyone in the Stretford area who feels like dropping by to keep me company I would be glad of it.
